Julia Quinn is a favourite of mine as well, due to her ability to make you come to know the characters so well. She also has a quirky sense of humour. The Toad will not doubt come to know Mrs Bridgerton’s favourite retort when losing an argument with one of her children. “I don’t like your tone, young toadlet!” I’ll mutter. Hopefully he won’t twig to it as A through H Bridgerton did.
