The sad thing is that they don’t always - or not until a few years later, anyway. So this pic has pride of place on my classroom wall and it’s staying there!
Whee! I’m back to the land of the living!
Caught up with you at last, Mic. So pleased to see the writing is going well, and well done with the students.
I’m helping out with a performing arts project for a bunch of youngsters, and it’s nice to know that not all kids are knife wielding thugs, as the Daily Wail would like us to believe.
I had a similar experience about a year ago. I ran into a former student who told me she was going to become a teacher because of her experience with me. While I no longer teach, that just warmed me to the core. I’m so happy that a few of your former students took the time to recognize the work you did with them. You deserve that praise!!!
Just want to say i`m glad i found this site.
I am from Denmark and also now’m speaking English, please tell me right I wrote the following sentence: “Information on airlines located throughout asia.”
THX :-D, Mayes.
This is one of my favorite poems and is posted in front of me between my computer monitor and my vision board.
you are missing out on an important opportunity. Every experience can be learned from. Every strong emotion examined for cause and effect. Be grateful for the times that might seem the toughest because within you can find your greatest strength and learning experience.
I then try and set a limit for the emotion if it is sadness, frustration, worry…. It is wonderful to process and feel fully a “negative” emotion but is not healthy if you just sit there and dwell in it indefinitely. There are techniques to “let go” if you find yourself hanging onto the negative emotion for too long.
It seems to me different type of post, actually i was surfing net to get data related to my projects of shaw carpet and in the meantime came here...And find this post different one!Well someone who dont know about it may get interesting type of information from this post…
Students always appreciate the good ones, Mic.
