I love the summer holidays. And this year, I’ve actually developed a full on social life - which isn’t bad when you’ve got 3 small kids, one of whom has Autism.
We’ve had guests a plenty visiting, and we’ve even been to annoy other people over night (sans kids, but with the overly exhuberant spaniel). We had an overnight in a terrible hotel in Bamburgh, and in just over a week we’re off to see this production of ‘The Tempest’ in Stratford-upon-Avon with Patrick Stewart as Prospero. Having read the review now, I absolutely can’t wait.
The decorating and house gutting continues apace. The kitchen is finished, and orange paint has been purchased to transform Little Nutter’s old cabin bed into a juicy paradise for Tiny Flirt. The bloke at B&Q looked at us like we were mad when we asked for the paint to get mixed up. Apparently not many people want bright orange. I can’t imagine why!
